Our two one-day residential workshops with photographer Podge Kelly this November are designed to help complete novices and keen amateurs alike get the most out of either their mobile phone cameras or their DSLR cameras, or both.
Renowned photographer Podge Kelly, F.I.P.F., E.F.I.A.P., A.M.I.P.P., A.S.I.T.T.P., L.S.W.P.P., is an experienced professional who loves to teach, someone who has been taking photographs and creating images himself for over 45 years, and has led classes and workshops in photography, lighting and techniques for many years all over Ireland and internationally.
Based in the lovely bright space of Lettery Lodge, the workshops will cover still life and, subject to weather, landscape photography, with participants exploring the magnificent estate and its setting through the lens of their cameras. The grounds and landscape around Ballynahinch, the changing skies and gorgeous seasonal colours provide a wonderful source of inspiration.
The one-day workshop on Wednesday 15th November is all about taking photos with the camera on your mobile and learning about the variety of helpful apps to help you get the very best out of your phone. The one-day course on Thursday 16th November is a basic photography course for those with a DSLR (digital single lens reflex camera) and getting the best from it, ideally suited to those who have a camera but don’t know how to use all its features.
Both courses are limited to a maximum of six participants to ensure Podge has plenty of time to spend one on one time with each person. These are both residential courses, with options to do one or both courses. A one-day course with two nights bed & breakfast (arriving on Tuesday 14th November for the mobile course or Wednesday 15th November for the DSLR course), with dinner in the Fisherman’s Pub on the first night and dinner in the lovely Owenmore Restaurant on the second, and also including lunch on the day of the workshop is available from €960 single (based on a classic room) or €695 per person, based on two people sharing a classic twin/double room.
For those who wish to do both courses, three nights bed & breakfast arriving on Tuesday 14th, the two days of workshops with lunch each day, and dinner on all three nights, (two in the restaurant and one in the pub) is available from €1550 single, again based on a classic room, or €1160 per person sharing, based on two sharing a classic twin/double room.
