Ballynahinch Castle Hotel announce the appointment of Eoin Walsh to the role of General Manager.
Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Eoin Walsh to the role of General Manager at the hotel. Having grown up in the hospitality industry, with his parents owning a large guest house in Tipperary renowned for hosting international fishermen and huntsmen, Eoin moved to Dublin to in 2007. To support his college education, studying Business & IT, he worked in Dobbins Bistro, which is where he became fascinated with hospitality and the service industry.
Securing his first management position in Brooks Hotel, Eoin spent a year there as Duty Manager and a further two years as Assistant Hotel Manager. With a keen interest in wines and an ambition to travel, Eoin joined Seabourn Cruise Line, one of the world’s most prestigious luxury yachting lines, in July 2010, spending three years at sea with Seabourn travelling the world before moving to London in 2013 to further his experience. Joining Claridge’s in Mayfair as Assistant Event Operations Manager, Eoin spent three years there. He was promoted twice, eventually overseeing the department, catering for corporate and social events of up to 1300 guests.
Following three years in London, and having been away from Ireland for almost seven years, Eoin decided to come home, taking up the position of Senior Operations Manager in Ballynahinch Castle and spending over two years in the role. From there, he moved to Adare Manor, taking up the position of Food & Beverage Manager and eventually Senior Food & Beverage Manager, overseeing all food and beverage operations.
Delighted to be back at Ballynahinch in his new role as General Manager, Eoin enjoys the outdoors, travelling, and with a keen interest in food, likes to visit new restaurants in Ireland and further afield.
