After a period of low water, the river finally rose to a fishable level at the end of May with the first fish of the season caught on May 27th.
Fourteen salmon have been caught so far for the month of June. Visiting anglers, David Profumo and Mark Hedges from the UK caught four salmon, landing three, including one with a good weight of 14lbs.
Robert Jocelyn landed two fine salmon with a Colly Dog on the same day on Beat 1.
With further rain promised we are hoping for more entries to the fishing register in the coming days.
