With evocative glimpses of previously unpublished autobiographical photographs, these two connected books present surprising visual juxtapositions and intriguing sequences of images, which weave autobiographical archive imagery with documentary imagery of artworks, revealing elusive fragments of a personal history. Dorothy Cross is a Cork born artist of national and international repute. Her work as a whole are themes of sexual and cultural identity, personal history, memory and the gaps between the conscious and subconscious.
