It's a very exciting time for us here in the garden our vegetable planting is finally happening in the walled garden, this week we have planted Sweetcorn and a variety of Pumpkins, Squashs and courgettes. Over the course of the next week we will be planting all our other veg which we have grown from seed in our new greenhouse. We have a huge range of vegetables to plant including carrots, cabbages, radishes, leeks, chicory, cauliflowers, spinach and much more.
This week we have all been waiting eagerly to taste our first home grown strawberries which, with the fantastic weather we've been having, are so close to ripening. Any day now. The one downside of the the heatwave has been the constant need for watering in the garden. With any project of this type watering will always be a necessity but the heat has really amplified this.
While we still have a number of jobs to finish in the garden the finish line really is in site now and we are all excited by the pace things have been moving this last few months, week on week we can see things coming together and while "a garden is never finished" soon ours will be as close as possible.
